Tips for Staying Safe Online
- Only make friends online with people you know and trust in real life.
- If someone you don’t know asks to be your online friend, always tell a trusted adult straight away.
- Never share personal information such as your full name, address, school, or passwords.
- Be kind and respectful online, just as you would in school.
- If anything online makes you feel worried, upset or uncomfortable, tell a trusted adult immediately.
Reporting Concerns
It’s important to know how to get help if something doesn’t feel right online.
You can use the CEOP Safety Centre to report anything that worries you about someone’s behaviour online. A trusted adult at school can also help you do this.
