Equality Objectives Statement

🐝 Equality 🐝

Meadow Green Primary School is an inclusive school where all are welcome. We celebrate diversity and champion equality. Everyone who enters our school is expected to behave in a way that respects the protected characteristics outlined in the Equality Act 2010.

We believe the Equality Act provides a strong framework to support our commitment to valuing diversity, tackling discrimination, promoting equality, and fostering positive relationships between all members of our school community. It also helps us address issues of disadvantage and ensure that every child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential 🐝

🐝 Our Approach to Equality

Our approach is based on the following key principles:

🐝 All learners are of equal value
🐝 We recognise and respect difference
🐝 We foster positive relationships and a shared sense of belonging
🐝 We apply good equality practice in staff recruitment, retention, and development
🐝 We aim to reduce and remove barriers and inequalities
🐝 We have the highest expectations for all children

🐝 Equality Objectives

Meadow Green Primary School is committed to ensuring equality of education, opportunity, and experience for all pupils, staff, parents, and carers—irrespective of race, gender, disability, belief, religion, or socio-economic background.

To support this commitment, and to help raise standards and ensure inclusive teaching, we have set the following objectives:

🐝 Objective 1:
To monitor and analyse pupil achievement by race, gender, and disability, and respond to any trends or patterns that indicate a need for additional support.

🐝 Objective 2:
To raise attainment in core subjects for vulnerable learners by narrowing the Pupil Premium gap in Reading, Writing, and Maths across all year groups.

🐝 Objective 3:
To review levels of parental and pupil engagement in learning and school life, ensuring fair and equal access to all opportunities and activities.
