Here at Meadow Green we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities. We endeavour to suit every child’s needs, therefore giving them opportunities to experience the wider aspects of the curriculum. Clubs do vary throughout the year, some on a seasonal basis. Our clubs are run during lunchtimes and after school, this enables all children to join a club if they wish to.
Bees Knees After School Club
The school provides its own breakfast and after school club provision, providing quality after school care for children across the primary age range. The club is separated into two groups Little Bees for children aged 3-7 and Bumble Bees for pupil in Key Stage 2 aged between 8-11. The club is staffed by qualified teaching assistants who work with our children during the school day, helping to provide continuity and assurance for parents that their childcare requirements meet the expectations of the Meadow Green School community.
Breakfast Club runs from 8:00am to 8:40am Monday to Friday and costs £3.50 per session (£4.00 per ad-hoc session). Children can select from a range of cereals, toast, pancakes and other bakery products as well as hot and cold drinks.
After School Club offers a short and long session option. Both include snacks for the children. The cost of the short session is £6.50 (£7.00 ad-hoc) and runs from the end of school until 4:15 pm. The long session costs £10.00 per session (£12.00 ad-hoc) and runs to 5:45pm. All of these clubs are term time only. Parents wishing to access this provision should contact the school office in the first instance to establish availability for required sessions.
Sports clubs change with the seasons and availability of coaching staff. We are very fortunate to access opportunities outside of school through our P.E. & Sports Co-ordinator, Miss K. Barnes, who is the Primary Link Teacher for Meadow Green in the Redditch School Sports Partnership.
