At Meadow Green nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of our pupils. Our team of safeguarding leads work with children, parents and the community to ensure the protection of children, and to give them the best start in life.
Through our PSHE curriculum, we take an active approach to helping children develop the skills they need to stay safe; for example through developing an understanding of inappropriate approaches, creating a vocabulary to explain fears and concerns and encouraging children to develop their own sense of autonomy.
The core of our approach to safeguarding is the DfE's 'Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022' and 'Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018'. Our staff receive thorough safeguarding training with annual refreshers.
