The School Day

Our school day runs from 8.40am to 3.10pm, providing a total of 32.5 hours of education each week.

We also offer wraparound care:

• Breakfast Club: 8.00am – 8.40am
• After School Club: 3.10pm – 5.45pm

Start of the School Day

• The school gates open at 8.30am, when children may enter the school grounds
• Children may go into classrooms from 8.35am (first bell)
• Registration takes place at 8.40am
• Lessons begin at 8.50am

Entrance Gates

• Nursery and Reception: enter via Meadow Road gate
• Years 1–6: enter via the main gate on School Drive

Late Arrival

The school gate closes at 8.40am. Children arriving after this time should be brought to the school office to be signed in and have their lunch arrangements recorded.

Attendance is recorded as follows:

• Arriving before 9.10am: Late (before registers close)
• Arriving after 9.10am: Late (after registers close – unauthorised absence)

End of the School Day

The school day ends at 3.10pm.

• Nursery and Reception children are collected from outside their classrooms
• Years 1–6 are collected from the playground
• Gates close shortly after dismissal (around 3.20pm)

Any child not collected by this time will be taken to the school office.

Late Collection

We understand that unexpected delays can happen. If you are going to be late, please contact the school office as soon as possible.

• Children not collected by 3.30pm will be taken to After School Club and an ad hoc charge of £8.80 will apply

If We Are Unable to Make Contact

If a child is not collected and we have not been informed:

• We will contact parents, carers and emergency contacts
• If no contact is made by 3.30pm, the child will be placed in After School Club and charges will apply
• If we are still unable to make contact by 4.15pm, we will seek advice from the appropriate safeguarding agencies

Regular Late Pick-Ups

For the safety and wellbeing of all pupils, we are unable to provide regular supervision after the school day ends. Families who require childcare after 3.10pm should book a place in our After School Club.
