Our School Uniform
Our school uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of our school. We ask you to respect and support our policy and in doing so ensure that your child comes to school wearing the correct uniform and be of smart personal appearance.
We have thought carefully about our school uniform and have chosen it to be comfortable and practical for primary aged children whilst also being affordable for families. Most items can be purchased in supermarkets and children’s clothes shops. School badged items are available through the Price & Buckland School Uniform App: https://www.pbuniform-online.co.uk/meadowgreen and second-hand, at FoMG Uniform sales.
The introduction of a PE day (Active) uniform during covid restrictions has been very successful, providing greater opportunities for children to engage in outdoor play and physical activity. Consequently school leaders and teachers feel that the continuation of an Active Uniform running alongside our current full uniform, would ensure children are dressed to be able to take part in daily exercise to support their health and wellbeing, whilst being smart in appearance. This forms one part of our review of our uniform policy in ensuring that it is line with the DfE’s statutory guidance on uniform costs.

School uniform encourages a sense of pride in children of this age group. It looks smart and gives a feeling of identity with the school. Our uniform is designed to be both serviceable and economical. Meadow Green's school uniform colour is a combination of Royal Blue and grey/black. Most items can be bought from high street shops. Items marked with a * below, some of which have the school logo on, are available through our school online shop. Unbadged items in the school colours are also acceptable. Parents can order uniform directly through ParentPay. Simply select the quantity of each of the items you require and add the required size in the notes to go with each purchase. | |

Second Hand Uniform
Volunteers from our PTA, Friends of Meadow Green (FoMG), collect logo items of Meadow Green uniform that are used but in a good condition. They then sell these at regular sales throughout the year from just £1 per item, with all proceeds going back into the FoMG. This is a great way of stocking up on spare jumpers, etc. and of putting decent-quality uniform to good use once your child has grown out of it.

Jewellery is not allowed, although small stud earrings may be worn. These must be removed during P.E. And swimming lessons.
